- - Lead and manage the R&D team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of projects.
- Drive the design and development of power electronics products, with a focus on the mechanical aspects, including enclosures, heat sinks, and packaging solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, firmware engineers, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate mechanical designs with electronic components and systems. - Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate design concepts and make informed decisions. - Oversee prototype development and testing activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, performance requirements, and industry standards. - Develop and maintain design documentation, including engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and design validation reports. - Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power electronics and mechanical engineering, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement. - Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and vendors to support R&D activities and secure necessary resources and expertise.
- - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials selection, and manufacturing processes relevant to power electronics applications.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools for mechanical analysis (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). - Experience with thermal management techniques, such as heat sink design, thermal simulation, and testing. - Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, drive innovation, and achieve project milestones. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to power electronics products (e.g., UL, IEC) is a plus.
